Hey,

People love unlimited plans because they can use as much data as they want and don’t need to worry about overage charges.

I thought it may be helpful to compile a list of the best unlimited data plans of 2024.

These are the top 5 best plans:

  1. Best Cheap Unlimited Data Plan: Visible Base

  2. Best Unlimited Data Plan with Priority Data: Visible+

  3. Best Plan with a Free Phone: Infinite Access for iPhone

  4. Best Postpaid Unlimited Data Plan: AT&T Unlimited Starter SL

  5. Best Premium Unlimited Data Plan: T-Mobile Go5G Plus

What makes these plans so great?

Here’s a quick run-down, including the pros and cons for each.

1. Best Cheap Unlimited Plan: Visible Base

Visible Base is a shockingly good cell phone plan.

It costs just $25 per month.

For the price, you get unlimited talk, unlimited text, and unlimited high-speed data on Verizon’s network. You also get unlimited hotspot data with speeds at 5 Mbps.

You cannot find anything better for the price.

Visible Base Pros:

  • Unlimited talk, text, data, and hotspot for $25 per month

  • Robust coverage on Verizon’s LTE and 5G networks

Visible Base Cons:

  • Data is deprioritized, so you may temporarily experience slower speeds when the Verizon network is busy

  • Each line needs its own separate account — not ideal for families

2. Best Unlimited Plan with Priority Data: Visible+

If you want a cell phone plan with priority data, look no further than Visible+!

First, what is priority data?

Priority data is an allotment of data at the start of your billing cycle where your usage is prioritized higher than everyone else’s. Having priority data is like having CLEAR when you go through crowded airport security—you get to go faster than everyone else!

Here’s an example:

I tested priority data versus deprioritized data outside a Costco at 2:30pm on a Saturday (as busy as it gets).

The plan with priority data got between 4 and 8 Mbps download speeds. The plan with deprioritized data got between 0.16 and 0.31 Mbps. That’s 25 times slower speeds!

Keep in mind that when the parking lot cleared and the network was no longer busy, both plans had the same speeds and performance, about 250 Mbps download speeds.

Needless to say, having priority data CAN make a difference, especially in areas where a lot of people are all using their phones at once.

Visible+ includes 50GB of priority data on Verizon’s LTE and Nationwide 5G networks. And Visible+ gets unlimited priority data (that doesn’t count towards the 50GB limit) any time you are connected to Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband.

For $45 per month, Visible+ is an outstanding value!

Visible+ Pros:

  • Priority data for the same network experience as a Verizon postpaid customer

  • Free international texting, 500 minutes of free international calling to 30+ destinations, and free talk, text, and data roaming in Canada and Mexico

Visible+ Cons:

  • No free phone deals

  • Each line needs a separate account

3. Best Plan With A Free Phone: Infinite Access For iPhone

If you like getting a free phone every year, Boost Infinite’s Infinite Access for iPhone plan may be for you.

For $60 per month, you get a free iPhone 15 TODAY with no trade-in.

Then, every year after this you can trade in your device for a free new iPhone!

The Infinite Access for iPhone plan includes 30GB of high-speed data before unlimited data at 512 Kbps, free international texting, free international calling, and free roaming in Canada and Mexico.

(This plan is also available for Samsung Galaxy users—you can get a free Galaxy phone every year!)

Infinite Access for iPhone Pros:

  • Free phone today with no trade-in, then a free phone every year after with trade-in

  • Great price for 1 line

Infinite Access for iPhone Cons:

  • No family discount makes it expensive for multiple lines

  • Phone is locked to Boost Infinite

4. Best Postpaid Unlimited Plan: AT&T Unlimited Starter SL

AT&T Unlimited Starter SL is my absolute FAVORITE postpaid cell phone plan right now.

Why?

Because it is SUCH a good value!

The plan includes everything you need: unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited high-speed data, 5GB of hotspot data, and free unlimited roaming in Canada and Mexico. And it is a good price, too! $65.99 per month for one line, and as low as $30.99 with five or more lines.

As a bonus, Unlimited Starter SL is eligible for AT&T’s best trade-in deals!

That means you could get a free iPhone 15 Pro or a free Galaxy S24+ with trade-in.

The combination of a great price PLUS getting AT&T’s best trade-in deals are what make Unlimited Starter SL such a great value plan.

AT&T Unlimited Starter SL Pros:

  • Access to AT&T’s best device deals

  • Excellent coverage on AT&T’s LTE and 5G newtorks

AT&T Unlimited Starter SL Cons:

  • Data is deprioritized, so you may temporarily notice slower speeds when the network is busy (I think this is less of an issue on AT&T’s network compared to Verizon’s network)

  • Phones are locked to AT&T and international data is $10 per day

5. Best Premium Unlimited Plan: T-Mobile Go5g Plus

If you want the best of the best, the plan with every feature you could ask for, T-Mobile Go5G Plus is for you.

It includes:

  • Unlimited priority data

  • 50GB hotspot data

  • 4K video streaming

  • Free international texting

  • Free roaming in Canada and Mexico with 15GB at high-speeds

  • Free international data roaming in 215+ supported destinations with 5GB at high-speeds

  • Free in-flight Wi-Fi

  • Free Netflix Standard subscription with Ads

  • Free Apple TV+ subscription

  • Free AAA membership for 1 year

  • Free phone every 2 years

Yeah… it’s a lot!

T-Mobile’s most premium plan comes with a premium price tag: $90 per month.

The good news is taxes and fees are included. And with multiple lines, the price drops to as low as $44 per line per month.

T-Mobile Go5G Plus Pros:

  • All the features!

  • Free phone every 2 years with trade-in

T-Mobile Go5G Plus Cons:

  • It’s expensive

  • Financed phones are locked to T-Mobile
